Pepperl+Fuchs Retroreflective Photoelectric Sensor

Pepperl+Fuchs retroreflective photoelectric sensors utilize a paired emitter and receiver in a single housing to detect objects. The sensor emits a beam that bounces off a reflector; an object is detected when the beam is interrupted. They feature miniature to heavy-duty designs, ranges up to 14 meters, and IP67 ratings. These sensors are widely categorized based on their specific applications and housing types: - Standard & Miniature Series: Compact, easy-to-install units (such as the ML100 or ML300 series) ideal for general factory automation and part presence detection. - Transparent Object/Glass Detection: Sensors built to detect clear plastics, glass bottles, and semi-transparent materials, usually featuring highly sensitive light-change adjustments (designated with a "G" in the nomenclature). - Material Handling (R202 Series): Standardized cubic designs tailored for basic switching functions and robust mounting in material handling environments. - Specialty Suppressors: Foreground suppression sensors designed to avoid false triggers from glossy, shrink-wrapped pallets.
